Our latest work on environmental citizen science and agri-food science

For over 10 years, Web2Learn has been innovating in the fields of professional training and citizen science, aiming to expand participatory approaches to scientific research for socio-environmental wellbeing.

Particularly in the intersection of training and collaboration with municipalities in the fields of agri-food, air and water quality and wider environmental issues (cf. biodiversity), Web2Learn has successfully designed and implemented the following actions:

  • WaterCoLab project, in collaboration with the Municipality of Kozani.
  • AGRIMA project (Agri-food Waste Management for Sustainable bio-economy through Higher Education curricula and upskilling, Erasmus+ KA2 project, 2024-2026).
  • Signing of the Sustainable Sport-driven Local Development Agreement (SSLD) by the Mayor of Limnos, Greece, in the framework of the CROssING project.
  • The AirLimnos initiatives and its educational component (more here, page in Greek). AirLimnos builds on a series of environmental citizen science actions organised by Web2Learn in Limnos.
  • Educational workshops in Limnos for citizen science actions for water scarcity, in the framework of the Acting4Water project. Web2Learn’s research on citizen science for water scarcity is presented in the Acting4Water data visualisations.
  • Web2Learn’s “Tackling water scarcity through citizen engagement” initiative in Limnos is endorsed by the EU “Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters” Charter!
  • Educational workshops for school students in the framework of the Lemnos Marine Conservation campaign (LMC).

Web2Learn is also an active member of the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) and a member of its Working Group on Agri-food.
