Korina Defteraiou

Research Collaborator

Korina specialises in educational activities and programs that foster inclusion and diversity, promote lifelong learning and raise awareness of social and educational challenges. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpretation from the Ionian University and she holds two Master’s degrees: the first in European Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the second in Cultural Management, Communication and Media from the Panteion University. She has also studied abroad, at the University of Strasbourg (France) and at the Higher Institute of Translators and Interpreters (ISTI) in Brussels (Belgium) during her undergraduate studies. She is fluent in English and French and has a good understanding of German. She has experience in grants management and strong project management skills as she is a certified project manager in agile methodology (DASM) by the Project Management Institute. 

 

Her interests include European policies and initiatives that affect citizens’ daily lives and European history, as she is the translator from French into Greek of the published book “Auschwitz explained to my child”, written by historian Annette Wieviorka. She enjoys working in multilingual environments and travelling.
