Description
The project aims to enhance the capacities of European universities in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and human participation for cultural heritage safeguarding in emergency. AISTER fosters interdisciplinary synergies in computer science, cultural heritage, and social sciences, thereby stimulating innovation in teaching and learning methods within university settings.
AISTER strategically integrates AI and human participation to develop society-centred solutions aimed at safeguarding Ukrainian cultural heritage and benefiting its people. Thus, AISTER’s overarching goal is to reinforce university-driven AI research for a social purpose, while also providing both university students and citizens with the knowledge and skills necessary to actively contribute to the safeguarding of cultural heritage at risk.

● 3 expert roundtables: A three-angle perspective in ethics and AI: cultural heritage, computer science and digital education. ● The AISTER ethical framework on the use of human-centered AI for the benefit of cultural heritage in conflict. ● Community-driven AI workshops. ● Hackathon “AI for 3D Cultural Heritage of Ukraine”.
