The European Commission’s “Study on the Impact of ICT and New Media on Language Learning” was carried out between June 2008 and May 2009 by an international research team. The main objectives of the study were to assess the current situation concerning the use of ICT and new media for language learning and teaching and to investigate any possible future trends in this area. The report also explores whether the motivation to learn languages can be enhanced through the use of ICT-supported learning and new media.
