In this 2022 conference paper, we focus on the need to connect professional competences to environmental ones to foster more sustainable futures. Specifically, this contribution aims to highlight the need of integrating deliberation and sustainability competences in VET schools through citizen science initiatives and projects. The paper was submitted by Katerina Zourou and Stefania Oikonomou and released in the proceedings of the 15th annual International Conference of Education, Research and Innovation that was held in Seville, Spain, in hybrid format. This paper extends work carried out at GreenVETers project.
