Web2Learn officially recognized as pioneer in the field of interoperability!

We are proud to announce that Web2Learn and the CERISE project are recognized as Early Adopter in the adoption of the Higher Education Interoperability Framework (HEIF)

CERISE is a 28-month Erasmus+ KA2 project that aims to strengthen universities’ capacity in recognising green skills acquired by their learners. Within CERISE, Web2Learn developed the project’s digital wallet that validates university students’ green skills!

About the HEIF

Developed by the expert group of the European Digital Education Hub, the European Higher Education Interoperability Framework (HEIF) supports implementation and governance and is set to revolutionise the way institutions collaborate across borders.

What’s inside the framework?

  • Insights from over 40 European Universities alliances
  • A flexible set of implementation resources and recommendations
  • A proposal for an inclusive multi-stakeholder coordination group
  • A reference architecture covering organisational, semantic and technical aspects.

The goal? Enable smoother learner journeys across virtual campuses, improve data sharing, reduce bureaucracy and simplify collaboration between institutions in Europe.

The European Digital Education Hub (EDEH) is an initiative of the European Union, funded by the Erasmus+ programme (2021-2027) and operated by a consortium of organisations under a framework contract with the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).Â
