Web2Learn invited at the European Week of Regions and Cities 2025

Web2Learn invited by CitiObs to present AirLimnos at the European Week of Regions and Cities 2025

We are pleased to announce that we have been invited by CitiObs to present the AirLimnos project during a study visit in Brussels, held in the context of the 23rd European Week of Regions and Cities (EWRC), from 13 to 15 October 2025.

This invitation highlights Web2Learn’s active role in promoting citizen-driven environmental initiatives and participatory approaches to air quality monitoring and community engagement.

As part of the European Week of Regions and Cities, CitiObs is organising the session “Co-Creating Resilient Cities: Citizens, Data and Participatory Action”, which will take place on 14 October 2025. The session will bring together policy-makers, researchers, and practitioners to explore how citizens and data can work together to build more resilient communities and address the challenges of climate change.

During this session, Web2Learn will present AirLimnos, an initiative that empowers citizens on the island of Limnos to monitor air quality and collaborate with local authorities in shaping sustainable, evidence-based environmental policies. The project demonstrates how citizen-generated data can complement official sources and foster more inclusive, community-driven environmental action.

Web2Learn warmly thanks CitiObs for the invitation and the organisers of the European Week of Regions and Cities for the opportunity to contribute to this important European dialogue on citizen engagement and climate resilience.
