Description
SPARRK-UA will develop a linked open data (LOD) structure for at-risk cultural heritage in museum emergency settings in Ukraine. It will document provenance of forced movements in collections, such as evacuations, custody transfers, relocations and enriches data through related paradata and grey literature, including structured biographical information.
The project will preserve Ukrainian heritage at the peripheries, particularly in the conflict-affected southern region of Odesa, by publishing AI-ready LOD provenance for the collections of the Odesa National Fine Arts Museum.
Key project results:
● Linked open data structure for documenting forced movement provenance in emergency museum settings ● Open access collaborative knowledge base ● Hackathon series building capacity among Ukrainian cultural heritage institutions ● Deposit-ready datasets for the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH)
