The EU-funded GROMADA and CitiObs projects are inviting you to their online workshop “Citizen science for environmental justice in Ukraine”! This action-oriented workshop is the first in a series of environmental citizen science actions for Ukraine!

By the initiative of Katerina Zourou, Web2Learn’s managing director, this online workshop aims to provide concrete support and foster action-taking for the benefit of Ukrainian gromadas. The actions will include hands-on initiatives as well as online “reflection” and brainstorming sessions to explore the specificities of doing citizen science in a conflict zone.

This 1h30 workshop aims to bring together participants wishing to contribute to thematic working groups (indicatively: legal, ethical aspects, monitoring of air, water resources, data, DYI solutions, academia-civil society innovation, etc).

Invited guest speaker: Olena Kryvoruchkina (Deputy Head of Parliamentary Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management, Member of Ukrainian Parliament).

The actions are a continuation of our ECSA 2024 workshop “Joining forces to meet the needs of (environmental) citizen science in conflict zones“, that took place on April 4, 2024, in Vienna, Austria.
