Cash prize awarded at European competition on space data for humanitarian purposes!

Description:

Web2Learn joined forces with Earth observations specialist Bente Lilja Bye and submitted an Idea to the myEUspace competition which has been awarded a cash prize among 14 other Ideas across Europe. Our Idea is titled “Space4CC” and aims to combine Earth Observations and space data with citizen-led monitoring actions to safeguard cultural heritage in conflict areas, with a particular focus on Ukraine. Web2Learn was represented in the competition by Katerina Zourou and Stefania Oikonomou, who have been involved in actions for the benefit of Ukraine and its cultural heritage since April 2022. The competition was organised by the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA).
