In sunny Thessaloniki, Greece, on June 19, Web2Learn was delighted to organise and host the kick-off meeting of the Acting4DHH II project (Citizen social science for the benefit of Deaf communities)!

The meeting was a unique opportunity for representatives of European Deaf communities from Poland, Slovakia and Greece to meet each other face-to-face! Moreover, our Ukrainian partner, the organisation Vidchui, attended the meeting online, sharing their special work with Deaf Ukrainians.

In particular, we were happy to meet in person:

• Mr Paweł Cygler, Polish Association of the Deaf (PAD).
• Ms Jana Barčák Filipová, President of the Slovakian Deaf Association ANEPS, and Andrea Berezická from the Slovakian Deaf community.
• Ms Maria Kifonidou, General Secretary of the Greek Deaf Association.
• Ms Ευαγγελία Κυρίτση, Laboratory Teaching Staff at the Department of Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
• Mr Giorgos Androudis, President of the Association of the Deaf of Northern Greece (EKVE), and Zaharias Margaritidis, member of the youth committee of EKVE.

The meeting was hosted by Katerina Zourou and Stefania Oikonomou, Web2Learn.
