Web2Learn presented its work on citizen science and water scarcity at the Dresden Nexus Conference!
We are extremely proud of participating at the Dresden Nexus Conference (DNC) “The Future of Resources – Resources for the Future”, that took place in Dresden, Germany, from 8 to 10 April 2025!
As only one week has passed since the completion of the Conference, we are delighted to share our experience in this 3-day enriching and insightful event!
Our Web2Learn team was represented by our talented colleague, Korina Defteraiou, who joined physically the DNC. In two separate Conference sessions, Korina proudly presented our data visualizations of citizen initiatives for water scarcity, as they were mapped and analysed by Katerina Zourou, Mariana Ziku, Korina Defteraiou and Stefania Oikonomou (Web2Learn).
Our data visualizations are the result of an international landscape analysis we conducted on existing civic engagement practices that address water scarcity. The study identifies several key dimensions, including levels of participation, cooperation models and types of technology, exploring patterns, correlations, and emerging new directions.
Our data visualizations are part of the Erasmus+ project “Acting4Water” (Tackling water scarcity by using advanced technologies in business-academia-society cooperation, 2023-2026).
