Educational activities at the high schools of Lemnos on April 1, 2025. More than 200 students participated in the activities, and through a rich and hands-on process, they were introduced to the science of air quality.
We took part in the workshop, which served as a platform for presenting the tools, methodologies, and resources of #CitiObs, giving participants the opportunity to address urban environmental challenges such as air quality, noise pollution, and urban heat.
CitiObs aims to support Citizen Observatories (COs) and Citizen Science initiatives in various cities, helping to create, strengthen, or scale participatory and diverse observations. It focuses on empowering citizens to actively monitor their urban environment using low-cost sensors and portable devices, with particular emphasis on air quality and other environmental challenges such as noise and urban heat.
