In what ways can citizen science help shape the ethical application of AI in cultural heritage?<\/p><p>On May 8, 2025, we were particularly proud to host our AISTER online roundtable that addressed these and more questions in the intersection of AI-citizen science-cultural heritage.<\/p><ul><li>Our event, titled \u201c<strong>Educating for AI ethical cultural heritage protection<\/strong>\u201d, brought together distinguished speakers which we would like to warmly thank for their active participation and valuable insights shared:<\/li><li>Dr Kamila Oles, University of St Andrews, UK.<\/li><li>Dr Kateryna Kotsiubivska, Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, UA.<\/li><li>Oleksandr Krakovetskyi, DevRain, UA.<\/li><li>Dr Natalia Kunanets, Lviv Polytechnic National University, UA<\/li><li>Mariana Ziku, Web2Learn, GR.<\/li><\/ul><p>During the roundtable, our talented colleague, Mariana Ziku, presented also the first deliverable of the AISTER project, our study on \u201cAI and human participation for cultural heritage preservation in emergency settings\u201d.
